Drama Queens

A group of members from Rainbow Clubhouse recently joined a drama group in Red Rua in Tallaght. It is a fantastic opportunity for people to express themselves through different media. The group meet at 1 and the class goes on for 2 hours. It is a very enjoyable experience. The warm ups are great fun and we love experimenting with musical instruments.

Last Friday we released our Promise Movie on Facebook to mark World Mental Health Day. A phenomenal amount of people reached our page and watched the movie, so thank you to everyone who took the time to view it.

On Friday we also celebrated the day down in Ballyfermot along with the other members of the D10 Be well Committee. 500 cupcakes were a welcome treat to the passers by on the busy main street of Ballyfermot. We were armed with loads of information on positive mental health including our own Rainbow Clubhouse leaflet. At the end of the day we had a raffle for prizes that had been donated by some local businesses.

Hi 5 for the Allotment!!

Very exciting horticulture class down at the allotment today. We planted the onion bulbs in our raised beds with the assistance of Lorraine the instructor. Despite the chill in the air it was a lovely bright sunny day for the first week in October down at the Allotment.

As per usual we did not come home empty handed….more LETTUCE & COURGETTES!!

So our resident chef in Rainbow Clubhouse rustled up a fabulous meal, a beautiful Vegetable Lasagne with a fresh from the gardenĀ green side salad.

Bon Apetite!

Tuesday is Gym & Swim

Thursday is Personal Trainer

Thursday is our weigh in at the gym (scary!) and our class with our personal trainer Keith (even more scary!) . Our work out is made up of difficult routines and Keith really does put us through our paces. The 45minutes class is intense labour and by the end of the class we are glad its over but delighted that we took part!

And the reward….A nice warm shower and then back to the Clubhouse for a cuppa…

..All in a days work!
